ROYAL ALBERT HALL - Oliver's dream come true
Royal Albert Hall was built more than 138 years ago following the plans of Prince Albert, spouse of Queen Victoria, who imagined "Central Hall", a space for promoting art and science in the heart of South Kensington. Today, the hall is a synonym for top musical achievements.
Throughout it's long history, the best orchestras, soloists and dancers performed there, and the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Oasis, Shirley Bassey and Eric Clapton were just a few of them. There is almost not a single musician who doesn't want to perform in this world-famous hall, one of the most beautiful buildings in London.
Since it was opened in 1871, during the reign of Queen Victoria, it was host to the best-known performers of various arts in the world. Today, more than 350 various events are hosted there annually, from classical and pop-music concerts to ballet, operas, banquets and charity functions. Located in the center of town, in Knightsbridge, Royal Albert Hall will soon be where Oliver makes his dream come true.
